I am in the impressionist painting mood and Monet is one of my favorites. His series of waterlilies paintings are marvelous and so inspiring!
Several years ago I did a needlepoint for an antique chair of mine loosely based on one of his waterliliy paintings. Here are some pictures of that chair ...
I love how it came out - it has a lovely luminous look to it, like an impressionist painting!
This is really Stunning! A perfect impressionist painting translated to fiber! Amazing! You created a Master Piece!

ReplyDeletei was just wondering, is this a picture of your house or an antique shop? i was wondering what is the wreath by the chair? feathers or hair?love your blog.
ReplyDeleteFirst I see you tiny mosaic work, now tiny stitches. Girl, you have more patience than a dozen mothers of teenagers!
ReplyDeleteI, too, love Monet. We got to see his Waterlilies in person. I had NO idea that they were so enormous! We also went to Monet's home and garden. It was so magical, I can't describe the experience without getting all choked up.
